Operations planning and control
The authors have used cases for a number of years as their principal vehicle for teaching production management. The cases and notes presented area in question. Each case places the student in the role of the manager responsible for solving an authentic production problem. The problems are based on the experiences of actual firms and portray the multiple, interrelated, and not infrequently conflicting technological, economic. and human considerations that are inherent in production management decisions.
